Timeline

Throughout July-December 2025, we have organized multiple fundraisers, including bake sales, bracelet sales, snow shovelling, shirt drives, and other donation events raising a total of $3000. Using these funds, we purchased new graphic T-shirts and sewed zippers onto them to create port-accessible shirts for children and teens undergoing medical treatment, in partnership with Zippaport, 

On January 15, 2026, we donated over 100 port shirts to SickKids and hospitals across Canada.

On January 27, we donated 31 handmade bracelets to accompany the shirts, in partnership with Zippaport and their founder, Julie Middleton.

We also partnered with the Havergal College Arts Club to host a Valentine’s Day card-making event for pediatric cancer patients. On February 13, our students created over 100 handmade cards, which were distributed to families through OPACC in collaboration with Susan, the Lead Parent Liaison.

On February 20, 2026, we picked out and donated 121 port shirts to pediatric cancer patients across Canada in partnership with Zippaport. 

On February 24, 2026, our founder, Angela, attended the Relay University event hosted by the Canadian Cancer Society, where took part in the Luminary Walk honoring those affected by cancer.

On March 1, 2026, we delivered 153 port shirts to hospitals and organizations across Canada.

On March 7, 2026, 36 additional shirts were sent out to hospitals across Canada. 

On March 11, 2026, Ports of Hope was recognized by HOSA Future Health Professionals Canada, and Angela received the Keva Garg Memorial Scholarship. Demonstrating the qualities of kindness, leadership, dedication, and passion for the healthcare field. Awarded $1000, which will be donated to Ports of Hope!

On March 20, 2026, we delivered 100 handmade cards to the oncology care unit on the 8th floor in partnership with SickKids and Oncology Clinical Manager Jennifer McLean.

On March 22, 2026, we welcomed the formation of our Creative Team, who will be putting together monthly card donations to oncology patients at SickKids!

On April 7, 2026, we delivered 95 port shirts to Zippaport to be transformed into port shirts for families across Canada.
